"There is a lot to consider when you start trading Forex. 'Which trading platform should you use?' is an important question.
I have been trading for more than a decade. I will show you which are the best trading platforms in the industry"
Trading platforms. I have used nearly all of them; cTrader, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, Dealbook 360, TradingView, various Web Traders, TradeStation, CMC Markets, SaxoTraderGo, IBKR GlobalTrader, and more.

Learn from my experience and hit the ground running with the best Forex trading platform. All my recommended platforms are free to try, so there is no pressure to buy or commit to anything.
THE BEST TRADING PLATFORMS FOR BEGINNERS
For Charting
If you are new to trading and need to start practicing your charting skills (technical analysis), then TradingView is the best option.

The online platform is web-based and very user-friendly.
It's ideal for Forex
TradingView has all the currency pairs—literally thousands of them. All necessary pairs, such as AUDUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, and USDJPY, are available.

The online platform has all the tools, drawings, and indicators for technical analysis. It also signals vital economic events for fundamental analysis.

The platform also offers every other financial market; stocks, futures, ETFs, indices, cryptocurrencies, etc.
It's FREE!
TradingView is free for a basic account. There are some limitations on the basic account, and you must be patient with the banner advertisements, but it's well worth it. For a new trader, the free version is more than adequate.

You can open a free basic account with TradingView here.

If you want to pay for an account, I suggest waiting for Black Friday or another sale period. TradingView heavily discount their prices during sale periods.
It's an APP!
Unlike other trading platforms, their app is good. It could perform better against the desktop web-based version, but it is excellent if you are on the go.
It has EVERYTHING!
The best thing about the TradingView trading platform is that it has everything-it is a one-stop shop. Once you know how to use the platform, you will never need anything else.

It has all the indicators, custom indicators, an economic calendar, multiple chart layouts, social trading features, drawings, Japanese Candlesticks, alerts, back-testing, chart downloading, watch lists, and more.

TOP TIP: When ready for a paid account, wait for Black Friday or other sales, as TradingView is heavily discounted during these periods.
For Demo Trading
If you are ready to jump in with a free demo trading account, then MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is your best option.

Alternatively, you can open a free demo account with a TradingView broker, such as Saxo Bank.
It's built for Forex trading
MetaTrader is designed for Forex traders.

It has all the essentials - charts, access to currency pairs, spread, and product information, stop losses, and take profits. You can edit positions, close part positions, and enable one-click trading.
It's FREE!
The trading platform is free, but you must register for at least a free demo account with a Forex broker to make the platform live.

You can download MetaTrader 4 for free here. It is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.

The MT4 app is available for download here.
It's SIMPLE!
MetaTrader 4 does look dated. I get it. However, not having a flashy and all-singer, all-dancing trading platform does have advantages.

The software is simple. It's easy to learn and navigate.

Opening, editing, and closing trades is straightforward and can be done quickly on the MetaTrader 4 app.

If you need help, check out my MetaTrader 4 Guide.
It's RELIABLE!
The platform doesn't crash, lag, or have bug issues. It always loads and is ready to go.
It's UNIVERSAL!
MetaTrader is available with all Forex brokers. This means that changing broker is easy - learning a new platform is unnecessary each time your broker changes.

It is the most popular trading platform for Forex trading. You can speak the "Meta" language with other traders.

THE BEST TRADING PLATFORMS FOR FOREX TRADING
For Charting
Once again, TradingView will not be beaten.

If TradingView does not convince you, try the ProRealTime trading platform offered by IG or Thinkorswim, provided by TD Ameritrade.

These are your only choices for serious Forex chart analysis.
For Trading
MetaTrader 4 is once again your best option for actual trading. It is excellent for new traders and experienced traders.

Alternatives for online trading are trading on TradingView directly, cTrader, or in-house platforms offered by Forex brokers.

IG and Saxo Bank are the best in-house platforms for trading Forex.
